Dr. José León earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2003 from the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo. His passion for surgical excellence led him to begin a General Surgery residency at the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces in Santo Domingo in 2006. After three years of rigorous training, Dr. León took his expertise to new heights by moving to Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2009.

In Guadalajara, he joined the renowned Instituto Jalisciense de Cirugía Reconstructiva Dr. José Guerrerosantos, where he completed an intensive three-year program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2012, he graduated with his degree from the University of Guadalajara. Upon returning to Santo Domingo that same year, Dr. León became a proud member of both the Dominican Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (SODOSIPRE) and the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgeons (FILACP).

Dr. León’s dedication to his craft extends beyond borders. He is an internationally accredited surgeon with Operation Smile International, actively participating in at least two missions per year to bring life-changing reconstructive care to underserved communities.

As a testament to his global recognition, Dr. León is also an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), continuously contributing to advancements in the field and staying at the forefront of cutting-edge techniques.
